PACA Policies

Appeals Policy

The Pan African Community Acceleration is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of transparency, fairness, and accountability in all our processes. Our Appeals Policy underscores our commitment to providing an accessible and equitable appeals process for all members. This policy outlines the procedure through which individuals, including learners, can challenge decisions resulting from monitoring processes, such as assessment outcomes, reasonable adjustments, or the findings of malpractice or maladministration investigations.

Should a member wish to appeal a decision, they must submit a formal appeal in writing within 14 days of receiving the decision. The appeal should outline the grounds for challenging the decision and provide relevant supporting documentation. Appeals will be handled by an impartial Appeals Committee, composed of representatives from various departments within the organization, ensuring a balanced and unbiased review.

The Appeals Committee will conduct a thorough assessment of the appeal, considering all provided evidence and relevant policies. Once a decision is reached, the appellant will be informed in writing of the outcome, along with the rationale behind the decision. The decision of the Appeals Committee is final and binding. Our commitment to this robust appeals process ensures that every member’s concerns are heard and addressed with the utmost diligence and fairness.

Complaints Policy

Our Complaints Policy underscores our dedication to addressing concerns and complaints in a transparent and efficient manner. We recognize that feedback from our members is invaluable, and we strive to ensure that every complaint is handled with respect and resolved to the satisfaction of the complainant whenever possible.

If a member has a complaint, they are encouraged to submit it in writing within 30 days of the incident or issue. The complaint should outline the details of the concern and provide any relevant supporting information. Our dedicated Complaints Handling Team will promptly acknowledge the receipt of the complaint and initiate an investigation. Throughout the process, we aim to maintain clear lines of communication, keeping the complainant informed about the progress and expected timelines for resolution.

Once the investigation is complete, the complainant will receive a written response detailing the outcome of the investigation, any actions taken, and the rationale behind the decision. We are committed to ensuring that all complaints are addressed fairly and impartially, promoting transparency and strengthening the trust between the Pan African Community Acceleration and our valued members.
